Defense of Creditor Lawsuits

We have been fighting for access to justice for the American middle class and low-income Americans for years. Corporate Plaintiffs take advantage of our courts that are inaccessible to most American families who are unable to afford legal help. Banks take advantage of families who struggle to put food on the table by shoving credit cards in our faces and then making them hard to ever pay off by charging exorbitant fees and usurious interest rates. We provide a lifeline and whenever possible, a remedy. If your creditors decide to sue you, let our experienced team help guide you through the process and advise you of your rights and obligations, every step of the way.

You’ve got questions – we’ve got answers

What kinds of legal services does Seila Law provide?

Seila Law focuses on legal services which we believe will be helpful to any consumer, and we aim to price our services so that they are affordable to the majority of people. We handle debt resolution, will preparation, assistance in small claims or litigation matters, document review and preparation, and assistance with Fair Debt Collections Practice Act (FDCPA) and Telephone Consumer Practice Act (TCPA) litigation, to name a few. In time, we hope to continue growing our suite of services so that all individuals have affordable access to the legal system.

If I engage Seila Law to resolve my debt, will you make monthly payments to my creditors?

No, Seila Law will not make monthly payments to your creditors. Instead, Seila Law will help you save funds in an attorney-client trust account so that we can use those funds to pay off settlements in a lump sum or through installment payments. If you have any questions regarding whether you should make monthly payments to your creditors while you are engaged with Seila Law, please call us so that you can talk to your attorney about your options.

Will I be charged up front fees for debt resolution services?

No, Seila Law does not charge any up front fees for debt resolution services.

My creditors keep calling me. What can I do?

Unfortunately, creditors can be ruthless and some may even deploy illegal collection tactics to attempt to collect on outstanding debt. Depending on your state and the individual collection tactics, these collection attempts may be violating the law. To learn more about what your attorney can do to help you, please call us today.

What if I have a will drafted and then my situation changes and I need that document changed?

At Seila Law, we seek to establish long term relationships with our clients. If your circumstances change and you need to rethink your estate planning, we are here to help.

Can I hire Seila Law to go to court with me?

Yes, you can hire an attorney to assist you in litigation. However, many of our clients opt to represent themselves and, instead, consult with an attorney to prepare because it can be a more affordable solution.
